Last Friday night, I was so excited to get the door for the delivery that I've been waiting. At exactly 6pm, the door rang. Voila! The Blackberry Curve 8520 evaluation unit has arrived. They wanted me to try the latest model and test it's capacity and functions.
I like the elegant all black look of the BB Curve 8520, tho I am not sure if this comes in different color, or do they have plans of doing it. Its predecessor Blackberry Pearl is available in different colors. It has a rubbery no-slip finish on the side and back except for the battery cover. I need to get used with the QWERTY keyboard, since I've been using a numeric keypad since the day I was able to get mobile phone for my self. I love the innovative touch-sensitive trackpad, so scrolling and menu navigation is a breeze. It has WiFi, Bluetooth, can play and record videos, 2MP camera with zoom and what I love the 3.5 mm stereo headset jack.
I immediately explored and look for the messenger functions and apps for twitter and facebook. Twitterberry is not pre-installed and so as the facebook app. I downloaded both directly to the Blacberry. Surprisingly fast and hustle free. With a little configuration I was able to use both apps immediately. A 2GB memory card is included, expandable memory via hot swappable microSD/SDHC memory card slot, supporting up to 16 GB.

So stay tuned for more of my experience with the Blackberry Curve 8520. Add us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter as I will update you with my latest adventures and news of the upcoming Philippine Fashion Week.
